The final two Harry Potter films

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, the sixth film in the Harry Potter series based on the novel of the same name by J.K. Rowling, is slated for release in November. David Yates directs the film being produced by David Heyman and David Barron with a script by Steve Kloves.
Reportedly, the seventh film in the series based on the final book 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows' by J.K. Rowling, will be split into two films. The final book, which was released in around 93 countries, broke the sales records as the fastest-selling book ever, with more than eleven million copies being sold in the first 24 hours of its release.

Pyramid Saimira’s entry into North India

Pyramid Saimira Theatre ltd. foray into North commenced with the inauguration of its first multiplex in SLF mall at Indraprastha Colony in Faridabad on 18, January 19, 2008. An exclusive food court, Party hall and 3 Screen Multiplex in one complete complex.

A pooja was conducted and ribbon cutting ceremony by Mr. V. Natrajan, Chairman, Pyramid Saimira Group
and witnessed by the Director-Shri N Narayanan, COO-Karnataka & Delhi Cirlce- Shri Somasekhar V.K, Shri Alok Kumar-GM-F & B, Shri V Srinivasan –VP (Technical) President-Distribution-Shri Mukesh Mehta and the new COO-North-Shri M Kumar along with staff and other well wishers / invitees. Later the formal programme with Chief Guest MrsSmt Jasmeet Singh (Chariperson-Red Cross Society –Faridabad) lighting the lamp in the presence of distinguished invitees and also Mr.Vijay Madan-Managing Director and Mr.Ajay Madan-Director of SLF Mall.

The welcome address was by the Director –Shri N Narayanan and Chairman Shri V. Natarajan declared open the multiplex. In his address he recalled his earlier visit at the construction stage and how it has been shaped now. He also explained the transformation of Pyramid Saimira into a ‘Group’ Company. He expressed his hope that this entry into North will be more fruitful and also a harbinger of Pyramids success in the North.
Mr. Ajay Madan, the director of SLF mall spoke briefly of his association with Pyramid Saimira and highlighted their association with Pyramid Saimira Theatres Ltd and the warmth, comfortable feeling that they got in dealing with Pyramid Saimira. He hoped that many more ventures would take shape in days to come and fall in place at the earliest.



Mr. Alok Kumar – GM F&B, spoke of the importance of Food Court and how it was far different and drawn out from the others. Emphasis on the quality of food served including standards of steel used in the kitchen, he brought out the fact that Pyramid Saimira has registered several brands and some of them are already introduced here. Brahmin’s Kitchen- The first South Indian restaurant was recently thrown open to the general public inside the mall. The food court will focus extensively on hygiene and quality and will be at par with international standards. Medical tests for employees working in the kitchen would be a regular feature.

Mr. Somashekar, COO, Karnataka & holding additional charge of Delhi Circle mentioned that Pyramid’s growth was phenomenal. He also explained that unlike several Corporate entering the film industry, Pyramid was just an opposite to us. Since experts like our Chairman, Managing Director and Director has a proven and excellent track record in the entertainment business and they have started this Corporate only after understanding the know how’s of the business and thus our success is assured. He felt glad to have got this opportunity in opening and accomplishing the entry into North India.. He also mentioned that as he was entering the complex some distinguished guest wanted to have a tie up for 100 screens and got a feeling that there was a growing demand for people in joining Pyramid Saimira Group on day one itself . He stated that this multiplex was dedicated to the local populace and they will be benefited with high-class entertainment. The company has massive plans to enter into HP, Punjab, UP for which the company is in the process of identifying potential places, which would result in reaping profits.


Later he also delivered the vote of thanks.

The entire mall was lit up to celebrate the inauguration, which wore a festive look and was jubilant. The mall was packed with the local crowd. Halla Bol was screened and the auditorium was packed with excited filmgoers.

P.P Agarwal, President Indian Motion Picture Production Association also the chairman of Film Makes Combine, Shri Ashok Lavania, Shri Dilip Guptha, Shri Gurpeet Singh- Owner of TDI Mall –New Delhi (Where was are now going to start a food court) as also other senior persons from Corporate Office mentioned above.

Pyramid Saimira promises to provide a unique experience to all its customers visiting SLF Mall in a relaxed ambience. Now premiering Halla Bol, Bombay to Bangkok and Taare Zammen Par and other new movies are also in the offing.

Well, Indraprastha Colony members are going to have a gala time hereafter and maybe more parties and enjoyment will be the order of the day!!

No Country For Old Men bags three “Critics” Choice awards

No Country For Old Men, directed by Academy Award-winning directors Joel Coen and Ethan Coen, bagged three awards at 2008 Critics’ Choice Awards, including Best Film Award, Best Director Award, and Best Supporting Award for Javier Bardem. Daneil Day Lewis bagged the Best Actor Award for his performance in There Will Be Blood. Julie Christie walked away with the Best Actress Award for her performance in Away From Her. The teenage pregnancy film Juno won the Best Comedy film and Ratatouille won the Best Animated Feature Film Award. Writer Diable Cody was presented with the Best Writer Award for Juno.
