Oscar-winning Star director Steven Spielberg will be honoured with the Cecil DeMille award for his outstanding contribution to the entertainment field. The 60-year-old director will be presented with the award by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association during the 65th Annual Golden Globe Awards on January 13, 2008. Spielberg has won six ‘Golden Globe awards’ and three ‘Academy Awards’. He has also received lifetime achievement awards from the Directors' Guild of America, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, the American Film Institute and the Kennedy Center. Spielberg is currently working on his upcoming film, ‘Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull’, scheduled for release next year. He is also working on an Abraham Lincoln biopic titled ‘Lincoln’, starring Liam Neeson in the title role.
